Andraé Crouch once shared that he struggled with dyslexia and never learned to read music. Even reading was difficult for him, because he said things often seemed turned upside down.![]()

So how did he write songs that would bless generations?![]()

He drew from the lyrics and melodies he heard in his mind — the music God placed inside him.![]()

That makes his legacy even more remarkable. Songs like “The Blood Will Never Lose Its Power,” “My Tribute,” “Soon and Very Soon,” and so many others didn’t come from formal musical training on a page. They came from a heart tuned to God.![]()
